Our girl Abby was moved to a rehab center this week. She is still doing pretty poorly. They are working on very simple skills, like swallowing and focusing her eyes. We continue to pray for a miracle, but we are aware that it will take a miracle for her to be completely healed. I believe God is a miracle worker today just as He has been in the past. Thanks all of you for praying for her!!
Her family is wanting to set up a world map to pinpoint where prayers are coming from. If you are praying for Abby, would you email them to let them know? I think they really need to know the magintude of her prayer support. I can imagine that they are really struggling with her slow progress. This is from the blog that her parents have going.
Abby update – October 29
Our friend Jessie and Frank put
together a map of the U.S. and the world and placed little stickers in
every place that someone was praying for Abby. Many of you might have
responded to Jessie (or the New Braunfels Church of the Nazarene), but,
if not, then would you please just send me a short email that states
the town and/or church where you or someone else are praying? I’m
thinking I can count every church in Wimberley, so maybe you wonderful
friends don’t have to reply (but feel free if you want). I think this
map will be a wonderful testimony to Abby and to others in years to
come. Edited Address is in the next blog Send your replies to . Thanks! And thank you for continuing to pray–we love you all, in the deepest sense…–the Linams

My heart goes out to her family. I’ll pray.
ryc: I think there’s a little Bert in all of us. There’s something so incredibly freeing just getting into the car and hitting the country roads home after being so up and front as a teacher.
7th graders? Bless your heart.
Hey – I put Abby on our intercession list at my church. We are praying! Thanks for the link to the blog update a few days ago.
RYC: we did have a great time in Dallas! That fair is something else. I was impressed that the children’s rides were sectioned off – so folks in there were families. Things didn’t have that slease factor that usually accompanies such amusements.
God is a miracle worker, and He can do what we think isn’t possible. I am glad that Abby is learning those simple skills for that will lead to even greater skills. Beth Moore once said that sometimes God will do a mighty miracle all at once, and I am standing on faith that He will do so in Abby’s case.

I tried emailing, but it came back?
