We flew out of the Austin airport at 6 in the morning. We were all so sleepy from staying up most of the night. I think we got on a couple of hours of sleep. How beautiful it was when we neared the mountains near Denver. We landed at their airport on a clear day. With less than an hour’s layover, we had little time to do much more than get to the next gate. Our next leg of the journey was over the mountains. I loved seeing the mountains again even if it was from the air. We lived many years in those mountains.

Thanks for posting these beautiful pictures. We used to live in Denver many years ago. On weekends we’d head into the mountains and pretend we were explorers
Hubby loved finding the fools gold and he still has a sack filled of this stuff. It’s pretty but not worth anything. I sooooooooooo miss those mountains. What a change from there to Michigan
Good Luck to your daughter. Is she your baby? Will you have an empty nest now? I remember how I bawled each time I had to pass my sons room. He was my first child to leave home, for the Navy. Then by the time my daughter flew the nest, I was more prepared. But I still cried and missed her so much. Now she’s happy in her work, in Chicago. My favorite city that I love to visit.
I was going down the list of Xanga’s that have updated and came across your journal. Enjoyed it and will be back. Have fun while on your trip. By the way, what is your daughter’s job gonna be?
I’ve flown over the Rockies before. Truly amazing. I need to find MY pictures.
Aw, I’m bummed that I missed you guys while you were up here. Jacob and I will have to get up to see Celina sometime soon.
P.S. The time zone for your Xanga is set on Eastern Standard time — you can change it in your settings.
What fun! Now are those “crop circles” I see in the snow?!?!
That is actually a housing development.
