  • Skunk Update

The man worked his magic.  He slipped another plastic bag over the cage, and carried it out to his van.  The last time I talked to him, he was taking a peaceful, not-spraying skunk down the highway heading for a better home.

  • Was the trap encased in the plastic bag, so that if it sprayed, it would spray in the bag??  Or did just covering it with the bag keep the skunk calm?  We catch squirrels in our small hav-a-heart cage and cover them with a towel for transporting.  Always worried that a small skunk would get in, and wondered what to do.

  • Ewwww… that could have been NASTY (lol). Glad he didn’t get sprayed !!!!

Thanks for the comments on the pens. Actually I do sell them. I have a catalog I need to update since I have had so many people ask about them.

  • Saying hi! Glad that situation didn’t get stinky for you~ Have a good one!

  • We use hav-a-hearts as well, we caught possum, squirrels, birds and chipmunks, but never a skunk, thank goodness.  We always think that the squirrels come back even though we take them about 5 miles away to a nice park.
