Yesterday I saw a couple of people come to a funeral, sign the guest book and then slip out once the funeral started. Is there some sort of funeral etiquette about that? It seemed rather disrespectful to me.

That happens here at times. Some people take off of work to pay their respects, but have to get back right away. That doesn’t bother me. At least they made the effort to come. And it is true that some people cannot handle funerals, too.

That is vaguely creepy, but I understand the difficulty. I’d hope that when I die, I matter enough for people to stay for the end!! It’s not like you have to anything ever again for that person…
